Actually, as a NonProfit, AKC doesn't "own" the club. They have a
responsibility and due diligence to their member clubs. That would
be like saying GSDCA is owned by the Pres. and the Board.
This is more a case that the member clubs have agreed to allow the AKC
Board to do it's own thing. The member clubs can "fire" the whole AKC
Board and replace it, if chose to do so.
UKC is "owned" and it actually seems to be doing better.
