Good Post Syd,
I also didn't read Barbara's post as "Whining", I read it as creative
writing(which in my opinion she does very well) about the "place" we seem to
be heading towards. This "place" has come about because of the many changes
and challenges we all face, be it the cost of gas, declining entries, animal
rights and proposed legislation, many things that can effect our sport as we
once knew it. I think most, if not all of us can see a decline in many
area's of our sport that we would rather not see.
Carol Moore's post was a good one also, the other side of the coin.
In my opinion, both Carol's post and Barbara's post tell the same story from
different perspectives, and neither is all wrong or all right. I believe we
are all in a very fragile place at this time as to our future in dogs.
I am not trying to convey that the "sky is falling", but I do think it may
be cracking a bit. And that may be worse than any of us would have imagined.
