congratulations to elaine!!! for those of you who are unable to attend
the national this year, calendars can be ordered from me at a price of $15.00
+ postage which i believe should be approximately $1.50 ( will be sure
once the calendars are printed, shipped to me and i can actually weigh one<G>.

I am proud to announce I have been nominated, interviewed and unanimously
elected the new Treasurer for the American German Shepherd Rescue
Association.
I'm making this announcement because I know you will soon be thinking
about getting your new 2010 Rescue Calendar at the GSDCA Nationals in
October in
Ohio and want you to know we have a Special Deal for you this year!
We have combined a 2010 calendar (and wait until you see the calendar
this
year !! ) with a Rescue Tote Bag, a Rescue Pen and a Rescue Magnet. All
of these will be available for a $25 donation. You can still purchase
the
calendar alone for $15 but we're hoping you like the package we've put
together. Each of the others are also available for individual prices
if you
need extra's. :)
You can use the tote bag to carry your Red Book and your Program and your
pen will already be in it to keep track of the show results!
As most of you are aware AGSRA is a 501(c)(3) corporation that funds
rescue organizations from all areas of the country via grants. We are
totally a
volunteer organization with just a couple of sources of income. We have
calendar sales and a silent auction at the Nationals and donations.
I have received my first grant request and am ready to fund it. I have
to
share: when I received the boxes of grants requests we funded last year
and read some of them the stories broke my heart. All those compassionate
and hard working people out there that open their hearts and homes to
our
GSD when they have been abandoned and abused have my respect, my
admiration
and my prayers!
Please join me in working to keep the funds coming in that allow us to
support the efforts of all these wonderful dog rescuers. Plan on picking
up
one of the Rescue Tote/Calendar/Pen/Magnet packages at the Nationals when
you
visit our tables to look at the Silent Auction items. If, by the way, you
have something you'd like to donate for the auction contact any one of us
and we'll make arrangements to get it.
In the mean time I look forward to meeting many of you that I chat with
on
the list(s) in person.
