Colorado:
Today ACF 's lawyer Caroline Cooley and ACF board members Tina Villani and
Marci Grebing were in the Colorado Federal District Court for a hearing to
make Aurora Colorado comply with discovery request's made by ACF. ACF asked
Aurora to provide all data used to pass their breed ban last October on 10
breeds of canines. Aurora refused to comply and claimed ACF's request for
discovery was vague and they could not comply. The federal judge did not
find ACF's request vague and ordered Aurora to comply and gave them until
March 26th 2007.
Last year ACF filed a federal lawsuit citing several constitutional rights
violations over Aurora banning ten breeds of canines. So far the only
support for the lawsuit has come from owners of American Pit Bull Terriers,
no owners of the other breeds banned have supported the ACF lawsuit. ACF has
retained a new line up of experts to testify in Colorado.
