This past January I celebrated my second year of no smoking. I had smoked for
over 40 years and figured that was enough. I never smoked a whole pack of cigs
in one day but I still felt short of breath. I hated the taste, hated the
smell, but I loved lighting them. I am glad I got that difficult task behind
me. Do I feel better? I don't think I really do. I have always been hyper, I
gained about 30 pounds that I am now trying to loose, my blood pressure went up
after I stopped and I developed an irregular heart beat which may require a
pace maker to control.I have heard that if you have smoked for a long time it
is better to not stop. But I will never start again. My mother -in-law has
smoked for over 70 years she is 87 and still going strong. She smells bad :0)

Been there, done that. I used to smoke a pack a day. All three of my
children had to inhale the smoke from both of their parents. I also quit
around 30 years ago, but had to chew a lot of gum and hard candy. None =

kids smoke. I guess I did something right. I've seen people on the show
grounds holding their burning cigarettes low enough for the dogs to burn
their noses.
