When Lethal Weapon lived with us, he loved to swim in the pool. We quickly
learned he wanted a ball that would go to the bottom of the deep end. He
would dive in, go to the bottom, get the ball and bring it back to me to
throw.
They are all different. In training a dog for movies or television, they
are like all actors. Some times they are not ready for their scene. I would
tell the director to either wait for the shot, or change it. They
wouldn't force Tom Cruise to do something he didn't want to do, (like be big
enough to play Reacher).
But then again, maybe they would. That probably wasn't a good example.
