Carolyn and I drove up to this National with Booker. (CH. Elvaston's
Southern Byrne) He was not a Canadian champion as yet, and we decided
to give it a try. 9-11 had just shocked all of us, and we talked about
it a lot driving up.
Everyone was so friendly toward us, and made us welcome. Our Booker was
WD, and that was very special. I will always remember that trip. We
drove the coast, and it was so beautiful it helped to dull our grief at
the awful happening.The men at the border were very impressed with
Booker. They made us take him out of his crate, as they felt it would
be a great place to hide drugs, I guess. Doris E
