It says we are both old!
My first National was in 1966. I was all alone in the stands as nobody knew
me and this man came by and said I looked trustworthy. That's how I met
Ernie Loeb and got to hold GV. Brix in the stands for him. I had no idea who
he or the dog were but all of a sudden people started to talk to me.

The 1965 National Specialty was my first. At midnight, the sprinklers came
on as we sat on the lawn. Would you believe that I'm still attending them
40 years later?
