Before settling in at Wheeler Dam, I made a quick run to The Sinks and Airpark
Pond. At the Sinks (drying rapidly), highlights were Anhinga and Least Tern
(adult). Shorebirds included Killdeer, Semipalmated Plover, Lesser Yellowlegs,
Pectoral, Least, Semipalmated, Western, Stilt and Spotted Sandpipers.
Airpark Pond yielded continuing Roseate Spoonbill, Black-bellied Whistling-Duck
and Least Tern (immature).
