If you have signed up for the SFCC PhotoShop Elements 5.0 class,
you may know if you have gone to the Computer Room and looked at the schedule inside the door on the right that 45 members have signed up for that class.

Helen Viera and I met this morning to look for options in getting the training class offered, in order to complete all the requested class sessions. We currently do not have a quick solution but Helen is still moving forward and looking for another instructor to help her.

I recently was looking at the local websites and found some very interesting tutorials on PhotoShop. Here is the link to go to the website:

http://tutorials.the-adams-group.com/

Notice in the top left, it says advanced, Helen looked at some of the titles and thinks some of the topics are good for starters and some she covers in her class. So, do not be worried about that scary word "advanced".

I do not recommend this tutorial with dial-up internet service. Use the Computer Room as an alternative.

If you click on the top right the only one I have looked at thus far Donald Duck, you see a window open. Then I clicked on the screen and a tutorial started with a good speaker, great graphics and you can even watch his mouse move around and explain the topic of the lesson which the speaker explains.

Even if you have never used PhotoShop Elements, you may find these tutorials useful as a beginner. I am sure you also know PhotoShop Elements 5.0 costs about $30.00 per copy. Systems 1,2,3,4 have that version installed at the club's expense. Photoshop Elements 7.0 is about $70.00 and the price keeps going up as one moves toward the professional versions.

Hope this helps your interests in graphic editing.

Chuck
