Subject: Nominations for board positions
As many of you have heard in our last two meetings, the current board is
encouraging members of SFCC to place their name on the ballot for board
positions that will be up for election next month. We encourage people with
all skill levels to become part of the board so that we have a good
representation of our mix of members. You don't have to be a computer geek
to help form and execute the direction of SFCC for 2008.
The positions that are open are:
* President - Open.
Responsibilities - Plan, with the board, meeting content, strategy, write
articles, run meetings, assign tasks.
Interface to members and Sunflower Board.
* Vice President - Open.
Responsibilities - Back up President, tasks as assigned.
* Secretary - Open.
Responsibilities - Take and publish minutes of Board and Membership
meetings.
* Treasurer - Filled by Shirley Ridnour (2nd year of term)
* Immediate Past-President - Filled by Mark Karwoski
* Directors at Large - Open.
Responsibilities - Tasks as assigned.
Shirley Ridnour and Buzz Brooks have been appointed to the Nominating
Committee and will be preparing the slate of nominations based on your
inputs for the election. You may place your name (or that of a willing
friend who is a member of the SFCC) into nomination for a position by

Our club needs new blood and ideas at the board level. It doesn't take much
time and can be a good learning experience for you. Please volunteer to
place your name in nomination for whatever position interests you the most.
