The Southeastern Michigan League of Libraries
<http://www.semlol.org/index.php>, SEMLOL, is preparing a virtual program
for the Spring membership meeting titled Community & Outreach.
We welcome interactive workshops, presentations, lightning talks, and
virtual poster proposals sharing your experiences with a variety of
outreach and community building initiatives. Examples include but are not
limited to: outreach efforts at your library, events/programming/workshops
pertaining to community building, promoting community in librarianship,
etc. Best practices, interactive activities, and creative ideas are all
welcome. Presentations may be anywhere from 10 - 40 minutes long with time
for questions. Live or pre-recorded content is acceptable, however
presenters are expected to attend the meeting for Q&A.
The Spring SEMLOL meeting will take place on Friday, April 9, 2021 from
1:00 PM - 3:00 PM on Zoom.
To submit a proposal, please send a title, name of speaker(s), and an
abstract of no more than 250 words to semlol.board@xxxxxxxxx by Wednesday,
February 17, 2021. Accepted proposals will be notified by Wednesday, March
3, 2021.
LIS students are encouraged to submit proposals based on their coursework,
jobs or internships.
