Well done Nick. I am sure you have made the right decision with the support of
Carrie. I strongly believe that when you stop enjoying what you are doing stop
doing it. We wish you a Carrie all the very best and hope to see you soon.
Best regards
Keith and Brenda

Hello lovely people, I hope you are all well?
It seems like ages since we had the opportunity to have a proper get
together. Yes, we’ve had a couple of excellent meets over the last few months
& there’s been lots of new faces but with no major club events, race meets
etc which is totally understandable, its all been a bit quiet. At this time
of year I would usually be putting plans together for a New Year dinner but
as I type sadly I can’t see that happening, there is some talk of TVRCC
events for next year & if anything is confirmed you’ll be the first to know.
As many of you know I’ve been having a bit of fun on the work front this
year & I recently took a huge leap of faith & quit my job! As such, I’m
unemployed/retired/god only knows what but delete as appropriate! I have no
plan/idea of what I’m going to do but the one thing I will be doing is
getting my head back together & spending quality time with family & friends
(rules permitting) who I’ve neglected for some time. A week in & I find
myself in a much better place & looking forward to the next phase of
life…watch this space. Hopefully when we next meet you will see the
difference in me & it’s getting better every day!
Back to car club stuff…next Sunday is scheduled for our Sunday meet at
Teal, as you know we cancelled the last one due to government advice & I’m
quite sure there are two sets of opinion as to whether we should have a meet
or not. What I can tell you is Teal are happy for us to be there but they
have a very strict policy in place. They are in a tier 1 area & are happy to
give us two tables of six but there can be no interaction between tables
(changing seats etc) & we would need to pre order food & have an exact list
of names/numbers beforehand.
If people still feel it’s not right to attend I totally respect that, but
if some of you wish to go ahead I’ll put the wheels in motion subject to the
Teals requirements. I’m not trying to influence people in either way as you
have to do what you feel is right.
One thing we can do within the rules (sort of) is the occasional drive &
I’m happy to keep an eye on the weather & sort something when conditions
permit.
Take care everyone, & don’t forget to let me know your thoughts re next
Sunday.
All the best
Nick (just chillin but if anyone knows of someone looking for a Brad Pitt
lookalike with nearly 40 years’ experience in the timber trade please let me
know)
