Subject: [selnwktvrcc] Happy Christmas
Dear lovely people.
It’s that time of year again where we get to wish you all a very Merry
Christmas & a Happy New Year!
Once again we’ve had a good year with events, the meets are well attended &
we’ve seen lots of new friends joining us on a regular basis.
The calendar is looking busy already for 2023 as some of you may have seen on
the TVR pages advent calendar on FB, but don’t panic if you haven’t as I plan
to copy & paste it to an email on here in the near future.
As many of you know this year threw me a bit of a curve ball when I had a
stroke in March but the level of support from so many of you on here was truly
amazing. You may have seen my ROs report in Decembers Sprint but Carrie & I
were truly moved by the number of people who offered help with events or at
home, popped in for a cuppa & a chat, planned routes & led convoys when I
couldn’t, or just picked up the phone to make sure we were ok. To me, that’s
what makes this club & the people in it a bit special.
As ever Paul was there throughout despite his own issues & I would like to say
how grateful I am to him (& often Lesley) for their efforts, much of which you
would never realise had taken place but trust me, they continue to make a lot
of things happen.
If I’ve got my maths right, believe it or not in the early part of 2023 it will
be my 20th year as RO! I’m very proud of that but also delighted to say there’s
still quite a few people on here who came to those very early meets & remain
great friends!
Don’t forget over the holiday there is another meet at HPC Classics in
Eastbourne on Thursday 29th. Sadly I can’t join you on the day but I’ll write
another post on here so those of you who fancy it can hatch a cunning plan.
Please also keep in mind our monthly meet at Teal Café is on the SECOND Sunday
as they are shut on the first Sunday as its New Year’s Day,
So enjoy the break, have a wonderful time with friends & family & party like
your life depends on it.
We look forward to seeing you hammering down a B road in the very near future.
All the very best.
Nick, Carrie & Paul .
