Hope all is well with everyone?

Please see an email below that came through a bit last minute but might be of 
some interest to a few of you.

As you know it’s our Sunday breakfast meet at Teal Cafe on the same day but I 
wondered if anyone might fancy making a day of it by meeting at Teal & 
travelling to this meet together?

I would normally organise this but I’m afraid I’m being dragged away this 
weekend by the family so won’t be at the meet. Paul will be holding the fort so 
any new members please do your best to track him down & make yourself known😀

As I won’t be about can I leave it to anyone who’s interested to contact the 
organisers directly to register as requested?

Lastly can I ask for an idea of numbers planning to go to Teal Cafe so I can 
sort tables with them in advance.

Good afternoon Nick / David / Danny



Not sure which one of you would be the go to area on this one, I guess David, 
but hopefully by copying all 3areas, TVR can help Copthorne Prep school makes 
its first Charity Car Show a true success. I have previously tried reaching out 
via the HQ email but seems like it has not been distributed out. It would be 
terrific if any members at a loose end on Sunday 03rd fancied bringing their 
TVR to display at our show along with almost 20 other marques consisting of 
some classics and modern machines. Since its a multi-marque event and we are 
space limited (200 max) ideally looking for around 15-20 TVRs which is roughly 
what we have given to other groups to fill eg Lotus, Morgan, Corvette, Aston 
etc.



The basics:

This is a PRIVATE SCHOOL EVENT, so it will contain pupils/parents of the school 
plus the drivers themselves thus overall numbers will be controlled.

As a driver, entrance is free, though its all for charity so contributions are 
still welcomed. Children under 16 are free. £5 for anyone else. Payment via 
contactless on arrival – further details below.

Where we stand currently:

Pre-registrations plus dealer cars = 86. There are perhaps 20 or so others on 
FB group marked as “going”.

Line up so far includes

20 Astons and should get a few more via AMOC.

12 Corvettes - every generation except latest C8 – 1959 to 2019

5 - Marcos - rare in themselves but also coming is a prototype GTO driven by 
the Stig on TG.

5 - Morgans - including a 3 wheeler similar to one driven by R. Hammond on TG

6 – Lamborghinis but expect at least 4-5 more via LOC.

8 – Porsche

5 - Ferrari

Plus many more from Lotus, Superformance, Bentley, Jaguar, AMG, a wonderfully 
renovated and heavily upgraded 1975 Celica GT, a Subaru Drift car and right at 
the other end of the spectrum a Rolls Royce Ghost II.

We may have up to 200 in the end depending on weather conditions being suitable 
for some clubs.

The show runs from noon to 4pm although for convoys should look to arrive at 
one of the hotels mentioned around 11:00. There is a chance we will sadly have 
to abandon the convoy aspect due to a competing cycling event which is 
apparently using some of the roads we were considering. I will be in touch on 
that front in the next 10 days or so following discussion with the organisers 
of that event.

Whilst there will be food and drink stalls, drivers are free to bring their own 
picnic if they so wish.

The school has decided a post event book using professional photos and the kids 
‘design-a-car’ artwork would be more appealing so subject to sufficient 
sponsorship we will produce this at a small fee to further help raise funds for 
the charities.

As a note, the show is being held on the school cricket pitch and extended 
playing area. We are very aware the weather may play a big part in the event so 
its something we are monitoring as the show draws nearer.

Lastly, for now, kindly be aware that owners bring their cars at their own risk.
