Dear Seeds,
One of the 3 major community events Seeds participates in is coming up.
Harvest House usually occurs every other year but they are finding the
need for food to be so great, they are constructing the structure this
month on September 20th. The deadline to participate is September 14th,
and we only have next week’s meeting. Money is more effective – and
lighter - than cans because they get heavily discounted prices for the food
they buy so we will pass around an envelope. Every bit helps. Checks
payable to: Valley United Way with “Harvest House” in memo section.
If you want to provide cans (no glass jars, please), they suggest:
Low-sodium and low-sugar items.
Protein in the form of tuna, beans, spam, canned ham or chicken – you get
the idea.
Soups are good too.
No corn.
No pasta.
Please bring cans or cash or checks at the Chamber on Wednesday 12th or
Friday 14th the latest.
