I finally got a price from GoDaddy and have a choice for the Board. The
new plan would be the “Ultimate WordPress Hosting”. There is a starting
price of $12.99/month for the length of the initial plan, which needs to be
3 years or more. After that, renewal costs $19.99/month. The plan includes
daily backups and the SSL certificate. We get a credit of $362.93 for our
current plan. The cost to us would be $467.64. $623.52, or $779.40 minus
$362.93, or $104.71, $260.59, or $416.47 for 3, 4 or 5 years, respectively.
If we did 3 years and then renewed annually it would cost an additional $84
for each year of years 4 and 5. Which plan would the Board prefer?
They also said they will set up a temporary site for import of the new
site, so the old site can stay in place until we are sure the new site is
working correctly.

One more consideration is website hosting. Our current site is on GoDaddy.
The temporary site for the new website is on Siteground. I have attached a
cost comparison. Because GoDaddy is very much an “a la carte” site, there
are more components to the actual cost. I use Siteground for other sites
and have generally been happier with it than with GoDaddy, however we have
paid in advance for GoDaddy services, which we would lose going to another
hosting service. So it probably makes sense to stick with GoDaddy for now.
We would need to add daily backups. We also need to move to a Linux server
which might cost a little for the transition. I have not been able to get a
clear answer from GoDaddy on that yet.

To access our new site, we need to use an extension called LiveHosts.
This extension works for both Google Chrome and FireFox browner and you
need to use one of the browsers to test new sites. I created an instruction
video on how to use it. Basically it sets IP Address "35.209.40.11" for "
sdaa.org".
