Hello Scouts! For the Citizenship in the Community merit badge, we are
required to watch a movie related to impacting the community. We’ll be
watching the movie October

but a great example of how one person can bring a community together. Please
let me know if you see any issues with it.
While the movie is going on, we’ll have our committee meeting. I’d encourage
all the parents to attend, so we are making informed decisions.
Also, we are planning the skiing campout on Friday 2/19 and skiing on Saturday
2/20. Please let me know if there’s any issues with that. It will be winter
camping so have your scout prepared like we did on the Klondike.

Hello Scouts! Thank you everyone for responding so quickly! We have a enough
scouts to be able to help in two capacities. The parade starts at 3pm, so
we’ll need to be in position at 2pm. Any of the parents are welcome to join in
the parade. It’s quite fun to walk in the parade and wave.
Dress code: dress for the weather (should be cold) and if possible wear your
scout shirt on the outside. If not, wear your neckerchief on the outside of
your jacket.
Here are the positions:
Meet with Mr. Harvey and Mr. Feliu
Anderson
August – Flat shovel
Finn – Flat shovel
Meet at Mr. Scott’s float
Ronan – Climbing gear
Jax – Fire ring
Tim - Fishing
Mr. Scott - Do you have the position numbers for both capacities and any
updated information on the time? Did you say you had access to a wheel barrel?

Hello Scouts! What a fun planning party tonight! It looks like we’ll have a
very packed schedule for this year. I’m still gathering feedback on the dates
and items, so if you have additional thoughts let me know and I’ll try to
account for that in the schedule.
This Friday is Klondike! I’ve attached an OPP and the information from
Klondike. Here would be my over simplified notes:
1. Each scout should have their own tent, or family tent
2. Sleep with 2 sleeping bags
3. Dress like you’re going skiing (gloves, hat, jacket, etc)
4. Plan for food that takes no prep or just hot water
5. Meet at the Moose lodge 5:30pm, home Sunday morning
