Some say that when it rains it pours.
We made it from Miami to Savannah, GA with comfortable early summer weather.
Now the afternoon thunder storms have become the daily pattern. And.....I
think we might have burned up one of the motors. One of the 10 year old
Yamaha's billows gray smoke from the exhaust port, make a tinny rattle, an
stalls after about one minute. I'm still investigating the cause and severity
of the problem but thought it would be a good idea to get the "scoaa troup"
responding about replacing the Yamaha's with new ones. I have read on this
post that the proper replacement is the 9.9 GEX. If I need to replace one, I
will most likely replace them both. No need to go through the expense and down
time again any time soon. We would like to get on with our first lengthy
cruise.
Your experience and thoughts.
