Hi Ken,

What year are the motors? If original equipment what is the year of your
boat. Once I get that I can go to work and hopefully give you some
options. I will also copy the Seawind owners group and probably find
someone with the same experience that can help guide as well.

Hi Kurt,

I have a problem and I need your help! It seems that corrosion in the
head has allowed sea water into my engine.

I need some specific info about the Australian Yamaha. It is marked 9.9
but is a 15 block or engine, is that correct? We tried a 9.9 head and it
is not right at all. So I need to find a 15 with lower unit problems to
get a used head or buy a 15 head new ($1000+) or buy a new motor
($2500++). In the case of this latter option what would I buy to match
up with my other engine?

My local Yamaha dealer says that they probably can't get one until
November. We were planning to be well on the way to the Bahamas by then.

I am sure this is not the first one to have problems so hopefully you
can provide advice and council and possibly some sources.
