Clay et al,
Thanks to everyone for the suggestions. Clay, I don't think West Marine
carries that fixture anymore (West short dual bulb flouescent, sku #126177).
Looks like they have dropped a lot of the fluorescent fixtures, in favor of
cold cathode. Still have a few fluorescent fixtures, but not like years
ago.
I received a reply from Graeme Nolan at Seawind: " we get our fluro lights
from Electus Distribution www.electusdistribution.com.au P/N ST3016." I
looked that up, but it is definitely not the same lights that I have.
After much searching on the internet though, I was able to find the exact
fixture. It is manufactured in Canada, made by Victory Marine, and I
ordered it through an on-line marine supplier in Canada: www.binnacle.com.
Here is a link to the fixture, in case anyone has this same model, which was
used for five of the eight lights on my 2002 model Seawind 1000.

I also found the same fixture at a local chandelry: Bluewater Marine. But
they wanted $46 each for the same fixture that Binnacle charged $21. Go
figure. And since I needed two, it really did not make sense buying local.
Anyway, probably just another one to file away for future reference. Thanks
again for the replies, and info.

Subject: [Scoaa-members] Cabin Lights
When I purchased the boat, it had a non-working light above the
freezer/refrig. A single-bulb (8 watt) unit with white cover, some
havetrim, and black end pieces. No name (other than made in Taiwan). I
looked at West Marine, and Boaters World for a replacement, and neithersell
anything similar. (Apparently everyone is making the move to LED!)out
Unfortunately, when inspecting another one of my lights trying to figure
why the first one did not work, I managed to short out something in asecond
light. So I need two! Anybody had to replace their cabin lights yet?
Recommendations?
