Personally I found vanilla OS3.x to be incredibly restrictive after 
using Opus Magellen, which whilst it was a beast, was very powerful 
once you got the hang of it.

IMHO such a setup created one of the most configurable and useful GUI's 
going, more powerful and feature rich even then BeOS or Zeta's Tracker.
