MUMBAI: State Bank of India has entered into an alliance with HDFC Bank for
sharing ATM networks to be operationalised from February 3, this year.

As a consequence, customers of SBI and its seven associates would have
access to 870 ATMs of HDFC Bank while customers of the new private sector
bank would get facility to use SBI's 2,850 ATMs, SBI said in a release here
on Tuesday.

The users would be able to withdraw cash and make balance enquiry, the
release said.

SBI would not charge any fee to customers for transacting on its ATMs.
However, SBI customers using HDFC ATMs network to withdraw cash and make
balance queries would have to pay a nominal amount, it added.
