Our board met July 9th, and although I mentioned suggesting we donate a
telescope to your library, I forgot to state you were going raise an
additional $100 for it. We meet again August 6th, and I will certainly
broach the subject then, if I don't send it out to the list before then.
We will have to order the telescope (I want two more) and these will arrive
some time in the fall, and then we'll have our guy work them over to make
them library friendly (eliminating parts, building and mounting them to a
base, etc.)
The telescope wn't be ready by the end of September. Speaking of which,
September 28th is my birthday, which also coincides with my company's year
end. So that weekend is typically terrible for me, as is the week before
when we have inventories for our branch locations.
I'd like to recommend either September 16th or pushing the star party into
October. October 14th is the SAS star party, but that night will be fine
as far as I'm concerned.

I have not yet received your invoice for the telescope. If you could email
it to me, that would be great. I would see that you get paid immediately.
Also, I think the 28th or 29th of September would be great for our program.
I am trying to find a good location. My daughter has a wine tasting room
in town and she has a large lawn out the back which I think would be
perfect. I will check to see how much lighting there is around there, but
there aren't a lot of street lights in Harrison. Failing that, we could
find somewhere up on the Harrison Flats.
I will keep you informed as to the place, date and time etc.
