I'm trying to figure this out for a new travel scope. Hypothetical scope and
accessories below.
Suppose one has a 7+ lb telescope ready to go (this includes the accessories
such as
diagonal, 2" eyepiece, and finder scope). I have a couple of sturdy tripods
and head in mind, but this is an investment. So, without spending more than
$500, what tripod and head should I consider for the proper pound carrying
capacity for both tripod and head? Want to use tripod for 15x70 Resolux
binoculars also. (wt. about 5.7 lbs)
