‘Zumbathon’ seeks participants (Saturday, February 19, 2011):

Do you like to Zumba? The Latin-inspired fitness dance program is
sweeping the nation. In celebration of February as Heart Month, Palmetto
Health Heart Hospital and USC are holding a “Zumbathon” to break the
record for the world’s largest Zumba demonstration class. The event
will be held Saturday, February 19 from 8:30-11:30 a.m. at the Strom
Thurmond Wellness & Fitness Center on Blossom Street. The goal is to get
1,200 people to participate in Zumba for 30 minutes simultaneously. The
Zumbathon is free and there is no age limit; however, participants will
be required to sign an event waiver and wear a red shirt. You can bring
your own T-shirt or buy one at the event for $10. All participants will
be registered to win an elliptical trainer.
