As you know, things are a-changin' in NS as of Monday, October 4th!
Samba Nova will be requiring proof of vaccination to comply with NS Health
guidelines. As of Tuesday, October 5th, you'll need to show either a
digital or paper copy of your proof of vaccination. There are two options:
1. Bring your proof of vaccination on Tuesday and show a Board member
when you sign in and pay before practice. The Board member will take your
name to keep on file.
2. Email your proof of vaccination to Arleigh at arleigh42@xxxxxxxxx.
We're aware of potential privacy concerns around sharing a document with
your full name and date of birth. As soon as we add your name to our file,
we'll delete your email and will confirm that we've done so.
Collecting your proof of vaccination *should* be a one-off, but we'll
continue to keep you posted about any changes.
If you are unable to show proof of vaccination, please show a Board member
a negative COVID test result from that same day. This will apply to each
practice you attend.
*Modified Phase 5:*
Samba Nova will continue with masks, distancing (as much as our dancing
feet allow!), and the 60-minute practice time.
*Ongoing COVID Protocols:*
- Practice starts at 6:30 sharp.
- Hand sanitizer will be on the table as you enter the gym
- Please write your name in the green book and pay your weekly $5 fee
at the start. Nobody will ever be turned away for lack of funds.
- Instruments, sticks, beaters, and straps will be set out in your
section
- After practice, please put your instrument in one of the equipment
boxes or bags next to your section.
*By attending Samba Nova practices, you are confirming:*
- No recent exposure to COVID
- No recent exposure to people with symptoms
- No recent symptoms of your own.
