Hi EveryoneJust thought I would let you know that I have just placed a counter
top collection box at the Cornish Bakery on Silver St in Salisbury (almost
opposite Boots).
Ashley, the manager, and his team are very keen to support us and had been
looking for a charity to team up with. Anyway they are intending to do things
like bring in plant cuttings and bedding plants from their own gardens to sell
in the bakery / cafe and raise funds for us. Therefore I thought it might be
good if anyone who was passing that way, especially if you have a dog, popped
in and said “hello” to them.

Hope you are all well. It was great to see some of you at the New Inn on
Saturday. I think all who attended much preferred the New inn to the Cosy Club,
so going forward, we will be holding our monthly meets at the New Inn,
including the Sunday ones. The April social will be Sunday 3rd April.
For those who didn’t join us on Saturday or haven’t been in touch with
recently, we have permits from the council to hold our first ever street
collection, on Saturday 26 March, and another one on Saturday 1st October. If
anyone wants to help with these let us know please. Obviously all guide dog
owners need a sighted companion to comply with rules, and the dogs do help to
pull in the pounds but every little helps so if any of you have a valid Guide
Dogs ID badge and are also willing to stand around with a bucket without a 4
legged assistant let us know. We won’t all be together though as regulations
state multiple collectors out at the same time must be at least 25 metres apart.
We need to get a list of names to Lee at guide dogs so that they can send
letters confirming the person named is authorised to collect, and will be
sorting that next week. As I understand it, the following people are
available/have expressed an interest:
