If anyone missed out on these while joining the list. Please read these
carefully.

*LIST's INFORMAL SET OF RULES*

1) Pour your soul/head/heart/body into the messages you post.. be it a concern
or an it/cs/engg topic any question or something you felt like putting it on
the web and wanted to take opinions.THIS IS THE PLACE TO SPEAK OUT AND GET
HEARD! Make sure that you remain On-Topic!

2)DO NOT SEND ATTACHMENTS to the whole group, that is more than 5MB.

3)If you got any question about the working of some gadget or some piece of
software, please go thru the following link.

4)Be kind.Harassing other members, web team, moderators, the administration,
being rude, posting multiple messages with nonsense, running promotional ads
and/or spamming will just get you a bad name.

5) No spamming! Do not use this group to promote matchmaking or dating
sites, pyramid schemes, and other commercial sites.put only those link
that have a common concern say IT/CS/ENGG

6)Think before you post.

7) Negativity, Racial or Political Stances: Everyone is entitled to
their own point of view, but this does not mean that you have to
become negative, rude, distasteful, etc.You do not have to believe in
what anyone says, but you do need to respect their view(s). It is okay
to be disagreeable so long as it is done in a polite way.

8) Verify: Make sure to research all the information that members may
disseminate on the group.

9) Be Active, What is the point of joining a community to say
nothing? Please reply and contribute to the conversations.

10)Top-posts
Do not "top-post" (i.e, reply to a message by adding text to the top
of the message) as it loses the reader and the flow of the message and
can annoy other readers.
Instead post your reply below the original message.

11)Overquoting
If you are replying to another message, quote only the portions of
that message that you are specifically responding to, and insert your
comments after those quotes. Do not simply quote back the entire
message! Trim off everything apart from the 2-3 most relevant lines of
the original message.

12)Message recycling
Do not start a New message or thread by hitting "Reply" in your mail
client and changing the subject. When you do this, you mess up other
participant's ability to read mail in a threaded fashion. When you
mean to post a new message, use New, and when you want to reply to an
existing message, hit Reply.

13)Message time and date
Please make sure the date and time on your computer is always current. When
your date is set to something such as the year 2006, messages posted by you
will get sorted based on that date, which may put them outside of the
related month or year they belong in.

Most of all, enjoy yourself on the list, and read messages from other users.
In them, you may find ideas, solutions to problems, or other information that
may be useful to you.

More to come as we mature!
