Hello Friends,
The following are the Events that are being planned to be included in the
Annual Techno-Cultural Fest InfoX 2007 of University School of Information
Technology.
CULTURAL EVENTS Extreme Game LAN
Extreme Game LAN is an exciting and new destination for anyone who enjoys
playing PC video games, particularly multiplayer networked games. EGL is all
about providing a top-notch network along with cutting edge computers in order
to offer Participants the most entertaining and satisfying experience. We
provide high-end systems for your gaming pleasure. It consists of two games;
both games consist of set of Prelims round followed finals.This Event hosts two
games.
Show Biss-AD/MAD
Ad-mad is a mime and acting based game based in the wacky world of advertising.
We invite the players to draw, sing, mime or enact some of the most memorable
and funniest product advertisements. This Event consists prelims followed by
finals. In first round teams will be asked to advertise on a sheet of paper on
the given topic. Teams will be short-listed based on their performance. In
final round teams will have to advertise/enact the given scenario and winners
will be chosen based on their performance.
Movie Screening The motive is to entertain the contestants.
The Amazing Race- Treasure Hunt The Amazing Race is a reality game in which
teams of two races around the Campus in competition with other teams.
Contestants strive to arrive first at the end of each leg of the race to avoid
the possibility of elimination. Teams are progressively eliminated until three
teams are left; at that point, the team who arrives first in the final leg is
awarded a prize.
Drame-Baazi The purpose is to develop skills in the presentation of
dramatic literature.
The material for Drame-baazi shall be a cutting from a serious or humorous
drama or other literature adapted to the dramatic format with brief narrative
transitions allowed. Original material may not be used.This event includes
two sub events-
a) Solo Performance
b) Team Performance.
Twisters-Foot loose A variety of dances are allowed in this competition.
These include modern dance, abstract dance, ballet, hip-hop, jazz, cultural
dance and so on. In view of safety reasons, stunts and ?high-maneuver?
movements, eg: street dance and break dance are not advised.This event
includes two sub events-
a) Solo Performance
b) Team Performance.
Shoot Out At USIT-Shutter Bug Looking for an eye for a Million-Dollar Shot.
Millions of amateur photographers shooting a million unique images around the
campus? all with a single focus! All you have to do is shoot high-class unique
location images, anywhere in the campus. Submit your photos and then you?re in
with a chance to win!
Short listed teams will have to capture the unique video anywhere in the
campus. Winners will be chosen based on their reporting skills.
Pictionary
The team chooses one person to do the drawing; this position rotates with
each word. The drawer chooses a card out of a deck of special Pictionary cards
and tries to draw pictures which suggest the word printed on the card. The
pictures cannot contain any numbers or letters. The teammates try to guess the
word the drawing is intended to represent.
Shortlisted teams will gain entry into the final round.
Mobile Mania-Speed Check
In this event participants will have to type a given jargon as fast as he can
and send it to a specified number. The Message typed must be correct and in
proper order. The message, which is received first on the given number, will be
short listed for the final round.
Raise the Roof-Handi Tod This event consists of a bamboo stick and
handi.the participants have to break the handi with the help of bamboo stick
blindfolded.
Drop Dance-Paper Dance
The participants will be given a Piece of paper, on which they will have to
dance to the tunes. And after a given interval the paper will be folded. The
team standing till last will be declared as the winner.
Red Chilies This event will test the eating/digestion skills of the
participants. They will be provided with a food item like water balls and they
have to eat as many as they can in a given time
