Hi Barry and WDG,
I am reading a novel because of the places it describes that I knew well when
we lived in Tokyo. I thought it would be a lovely walk down memory lane.
But when I come across sentences like the one below, I cringe and really wonder
if I can bear to read on.
‘The butterflies were gathering in her chest like swallows at sunset.’
And this written by an author of several books!
At least your list, Barry, came from teenagers.
