[sacate] ping question

To improve hits to my blogs, I belong to a website where you can ping all sorts
of search engines. Over the months, I see many ping and say thanks--others
respond with--
Didn't receive 200 OK from remote server. (HTTP/1.1 405 Method Not Allowed)
Does anyone understand this? Is there some way I can add this to my URL or
whatever to increase th engines that will accept the ping?
