Hello everyone,
Mark your calendars and and cancel any hot dates for Friday March 5th,
because beginning at 7:30pm the Saguaro Astronomy Club will hold their
March meeting. (For directions to the meeting, please see
www.saguaroastro.org ) Our guest speaker will be Charles Wood.
He is a contributing editor for Sky & Telescope; he has written "The Lunar
Notebook" column for them since 1999. (Check out the current S&T for a
really grand article by him).
He is the former Director of Education for Biosphere 2.
He is the author of the book: "The Modern Moon: A Personal View." (It was a
door prize donated by Starizona for our Christmas Party--who won that???)
We are trying to arrange for books to be available at the meeting for Chuck
to sign for you. It is a great book and certainly one any Mooner would want
in their library and out in the observing field for something to do after
Moonrise. And it is that much more better to have an autographed copy. So,
bring your copy for Chuck to sign, or bring $48.00 to SAC to purchase one.
It will be the most well spent money ever embezzled from your spouse's
budget.
