Folks, I'm hoping some longtime members can help here. There's a current thread going on over on Cloudy Nights Classics forum "A Mystery Scope". Just today, it was learned that the scope was built by a SAC member from long ago who passed away in 1990 - Maynard Clark. Could you shed any light on a marvelous 8" f8 he ATM'ed? A CN member from Tucson has acquired it and is now restoring it. It really is a special telescope and was finely crafted. Here's the thread: http://tiny.cc/8m3Jq Please either contribute directly to the thread or I'd be glad to relay any comments/memories folks might have.
