I am planning to attend this year's Advanced Imaging Conference this year,
Nov 15-17 in San Jose. I am looking to see if anyone else is interested in
attending, to share the hotel room. I have already booked the room, about
$250 for three nights.

<http://trk.cp20.com/click/a1db-14lyh3-jw8yqf-10dlew57/>
*The AIC Board has read all of the surveys, listened to your suggestions,
and worked hard to provide an agenda that covers every aspect of
astrophotography. We have reached out to presenters from all over the
world to provide expert advice and methods from imaging equipment
setup and optimization to the very latest in processing techniques.
Image Acquisition is where it all begins and the challenges of fine tuning
our equipment to collect the best data possible can be one of the most
complicated aspects of astrophotography. AIC 2019 has the workshops to
cover the aspects and best practices of this sometimes daunting task.
Ron Brecher, PhD <http://trk.cp20.com/click/a1db-14lyh3-jw8yqg-10dlew58/>,
will cover the complete setup and tuning with the goal of providing nice
round stars. Richard S. Wright Jr
<http://trk.cp20.com/click/a1db-14lyh3-jw8yqh-10dlew59/>. will introduce us
to cutting edge new imaging tech and Dr. Gaston Baudat
<http://trk.cp20.com/click/a1db-14lyh3-jw8yqi-10dlew50/> will show you how
perfect collimation is using AI. Christopher Go
<http://trk.cp20.com/click/a1db-14lyh3-jw8yqj-10dlew51/> will cover imaging
the solar system and Andy Galasso
<http://trk.cp20.com/click/a1db-14lyh3-jw8yqk-10dlew52/> will show the
easy way to guide. Jim Moronski
<http://trk.cp20.com/click/a1db-14lyh3-jw8yql-10dlew53/> will cover the
pros and cons of CMOS cameras and Bob Denny
<http://trk.cp20.com/click/a1db-14lyh3-jw8yqm-10dlew54/> will showcase the
new software standard Alpaca. Automating the difficult and repetitive
tasks will be a well covered theme at AIC 2019 . Frank Barnes
<http://trk.cp20.com/click/a1db-14lyh3-jw8yqn-10dlew55/>, Bob Denny
<http://trk.cp20.com/click/a1db-14lyh3-jw8yqo-10dlew56/>, and Alex
McConahay <http://trk.cp20.com/click/a1db-14lyh3-jw8yqp-10dlew57/> will
provide the instruction of image acquisition automation related to
in-the-field imaging or from the fixed observatory. Of course everything
comes down to image processing and AIC 2019 has that topic covered. If
you are just starting out or you are a veteran, it's what is sometimes
referred to as the most difficult aspect of the hobby. The two main
platforms, PixInsight and Photoshop, will both be covered as well as some
other nice tools to help you make your images be all that they can be.
LRGB, narrowband, bi-color, tri-color, wide field, high resolution, and
lightscaping will all be presented in detail. Here are some of the Stars
of the image processing workshops; Adam Block

Processing Master One of the most rewarding aspects of astrophotography
is the possibility of our work contributing to science. Dr. Ann
Zabludoff will show us an amazing opportunity to do just that with a
special Pro-Am collaboration presentation. One of the major highlights of
AIC is the Hubble Award Winner lecture. [image: Jay_small.jpg]

*This year's Hubble Award Recipient, R. Jay GaBany
<http://trk.cp20.com/click/a1db-14lyh3-jw8yr0-10dlew54/>, will give
insight to ground-breaking and colorful processing methods and philosophy.
Jay's contributions to the astrophotography world are vast and you can
read about them here at the AIC 2019 Hubble Award.
