Bob, looking forward to seeing you at Cherry Rd.  The site of choice now is Cherry Rd. II, so you are correct.  Show up time varies.  You should allow yourself more than enough time to setup your scope, spend some time talking with anyone or everyone.  Also, is you brought food along, give yourself time for that, don't want to observe on an empty stomach.

Clear skies,
aj

I am trying to make my first trip up to Cherry Road on Saturday. Two
questions:

1) We will be viewing from Cherry Rd. II, correct?
2) What time do folks typically pack up?

Thanks.

Yep. AJ, was looking to squeeze in an extra night on Friday. Saturday is
still on.

Is the star party still on for Cherry Road on Saturday night? I can't make
Friday but was planning on Saturday.

I've been looking at weather, and ignoring the fires, to see if it is
worthwhile to plan a Friday night observing run to Cherry Rd II and
so far it is looking towards our favor. Sunset is around 7:50 and
twilight after 9:00 - according to my guess. Moon rise is around
midnight. All told gives us about 3 hours of observing.

Anyone interested in a quick trip - providing the weather holds out.

Clear skies,
aj
