Next weekend there is an Open House at University of Arizona's Steward
Observatory. The event celebrates the 100 year anniversary of the Astronomy
Department at University of Arizona. The event is located on the Tucson
campus at 933 N. Cherry Avenue. All of the details can be found on
www.as.arizona.edu/openhouse <http://www.as.arizona.edu/openhouse>
The Open House begins on Friday night (Feb 16) from 6:00 - 9:00 pm with a
lecture by the Associate Dean, but that conflicts with the EVAC February
meeting at the SE Regional Library in Gilbert. Choose wisely.
The real event is on Saturday (Feb 17) from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Admission
is free, and Saturday parking is free in the 2nd Street or Cherry Avenue
garages.
