I'll see if I can get away from work early and help out. When thinking about your targets keep in mind that 2 blocks over to the east is "Shaw Butte" the mountain so eastern targets much lower than Mars may be tough. Unless you like the "Boulder cluster" or the "Peak Nebula" J. While not a realistic representation of how objects look at the eyepiece, maybe bringing along a copy of Giles Sparrow's "Cosmos" could be helpful. Then again the book is so big that if you do bring it there may not be much room left for your telescope. Don't forget the Green Lasers, they are always a hit. Importance: High PLEASE OH PLEASE OH PLEASE! Tuesday March 2nd 5:30-7p. Shaw Butte Elementary School 12202 N. 21Ave, Phoenix (~Cactus & 19th Ave). Tom and I will be there with our scopes. I'm hoping to get a few more kid friendly folks to join us. There won't be much in the sky to show at that time (Mars, Venus, Orion Neb. maybe some double stars?) so we'll need some smooth talkers and maybe a couple of handouts or posters to show what the sky can really look like. If you need your handout photocopied, Email it to me a few days beforehand. Thanks, I owe you one. Jennifer Polakis 480 967-1658
