Robert, there was a time before antiquity where a small number of folks had
slow speed connections and insisted the zip file loaded faster than pdf.
SAC leader,s smart as they were, caved and agreed to make both formats
available. Perhaps we need to look at this again and consider dropping the
zip file.

Just asking a question: why do we save both a pdf and a zip form of the
newsletter?
I assumed the zip was intended to save transmission time by compressing the
pdf file. However, the zip saves less than 1% of the space; they are both
essentially the same size.
I assume this was done WAY back in antiquity; does anyone know the reason
for this?
