Hello everyone,I have started to catch up with some of the website tasks I
would like to take care of and would like to pass on some information. So much
information is packed in the current file heirarchy on the servers, it will
take awhile to get familiar with where things are.First of all I encourage you
all to send me your thoughts about what you would like to have on the SAC
website. Most of all I am interested in outdated material you want to see
removed and certainly any improvements you would like to see included on the
site. I will remove and add things as I believe would be best, but don't be
bashful. Let me know what you think.Today I created a new Yahoo email account
for the webmaster. The new address is: SACWebGuy2017@xxxxxxxxx. I linked the
address to the Contacts web page and have tested it to make sure emails using
the link come to me. I will be using this address to communicate with the
board, members, and anyone else who contacts the webmaster.I know one of the
desired capabilities for the website is to make it possible to pay dues
electronically. I have contacted Marty (EVAC) and he is definitely willing to
help me get the capability up and running. I don't believe this will be too
difficult to implement, but it may take some time to get the scripts installed
and tested before we can go live. I am investigating a way to have a test
environment so I don't cause any side effects with any changes or additions I
make.Please let me know your ideas. In this instance brainstorming is a good
thing. Dreams are okay too. We can put our sights on implementing a more
modernized web presence and getting away from much of the manual and
old-fashioned coding.I look forward to hearing from you and helping reach your
