Well done. It feels good to complete a newspaper as I did.

Subject: [ryerson_index] Two More Papers Completed
I'm really pleased to announce that two more papers have had all their
available issues indexed: The Kiama Independent is now complete from the
first issue in 1863 to tomorrow (!) and the Kiama Reporter has had all its
surviving issues for its 1886-1947 life indexed.
It is over ten years since Pearl Wilson started on the KI - and in that time
Pearl has had two 'zero' birthdays! Lynn Rawson joined Pearl in 2017, and
consistently knocked over a year of papers each week, until the job was
finished. It helped that both these ladies already had an extensive local
history knowledge of the area, much to my delight <g>.
This is a great example of what can be achieved by small groups who are
willing to take on their local paper, in much the same way as Bob Atkins is
organising a number of Societies around the state.
Thank you very much Pearl and Lynn - your work has made my work (with both
Ryerson and the local Historical Society) infinitely easier.
John
