Lindsay is correct. It is an 'In Memoriam' which we do not index.

I agree with your philosophy, Judith ie, do not index 'In Memoriams' unless
it is very clear that it is a death/funeral notice inserted under the wrong
heading.
This notice is, on my reading, an 'In Memoriam' (it is not a Memorial notice
-- that is a very different thing) so I would not index it. I know it's
tempting for the reason you've given, but that would open us up to indexing
other In Memoriams where we could not find an earlier death notice.
