Monica,
There's a huge difference between getting into the e-edition and saving the
notices page as a .pdf for the RNR (which is what has now stopped), and
accessing notices through the website.
The former gives us an exact copy of what was printed, the latter is a
hit-and-miss list of notices, quite often incomplete when compared to the .pdf
version, and often with differing publication dates.
Which way did you get in?
John
Everytime I post I get a stupid message.
I was able to get into Central Western Daily and get death notices. No
problems. Then tried Bendigo and it opened and I was able to get death
notices. Other papers have this subscribe but it usually means what
articles you read. Newcastle Herald does the same thing. Only 5 articles
but no restrictions on deaths etc.

Shari,
We've lost Bendigo because of the recent sale by Nine/Fairfax of most of the
old Fairfax papers to ACM. The new owners are obviously getting their act into
gear, and what was probably a mistake by Fairfax (to leave Bendigo free when
they stopped all the others) has now been corrected.
Fairfax is left with only the SMH and The Age, and we still have access to
those two via my sub.
Fortunately our contact within ACM should be able to add Bendigo to her list,
and we'll get back on track again with that paper.
So thanks for your offer, but at this stage I don't think we need to do
anything. But things could change, so I'll keep this offer on ice <g>

Are there particular papers that are more pressing then others that we've lost
access to?
I admin a very large Facebook group and can put a call out to see if anyone
local gets the specific papers and can send me the screenshots of details and I
could then upload them for you to RNR?
Just a thought
Shari :)

As of this morning, we no longer have free access to the Bendigo Advertiser.
Yesterday was fine; today they are asking for a sub.
It was only a matter of time before this paper went the same way as the other
Fairfax papers we used to get for free.
