Hi all - please use https://faxzero.com/ and send these Dems our message of - ;
you vote for war - we vote you out! Remember, FaxZero autopopulates but Senator

SJRES 54 LosesIntroduced by Sens. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), Chris
Murphy(D-Conn.), and Mike Lee (R-Utah), the resolution (SJ Res. 54) would have
ended the tacit militarysupport—including targeting assistance, refueling, and
intelligence sharing—ofthe Saudi's campaign to wage war on Yemen, a nation
currently embroiled in acivil war and experiencing one of the worst
humanitarian crises on the planet. The final tally was 55-44 against the
resolution: · only Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) did not casting a vote. ·
5 Republicans voted for the measure· 10 Democrats senators who
joined with the Republicanmajority to block it were: o Coons (D-DE); o Cortez
Masto (D-NV); o Donnelly (D-IN); o Heitkamp (D-ND); o Jones (D-AL); o
Manchin (D-WV); o Menendez (D-NJ); o Nelson (D-FL); o Reed (D-RI); o
Whitehouse (D-RI). In a statement following the vote, Sanders
lamentedfailure of the resolution's passage."Iam deeply disappointed that
Congress has once again abdicated itsconstitutional responsibility to authorize
war," Sanders stated."Time and time again, Congress has sat back and failed to
ask the hardquestions as various administrations have misled us into conflicts,
includingVietnam and Iraq, with disastrous consequences. The Saudi-led
intervention inYemen, with U.S. support, has been a humanitarian disaster.
Instead ofsupplying bombs and refueling capabilities, we should be doing
everythingpossible to create a peaceful resolution to that civil war and
providehumanitarian help." The US Senate held the fate of millions of Yemenis
in its hands. By votingto table #SJRes54they’ve not just killed a resolution.
Those 55 senators will have the blood ofthousands, who will die as a result of
US support for the Saudi-ledintervention in Yemen, on their hands. - and then
