IMPORTANT -- Poor People's Campaign March & Gathering in Santa Fe on May 14
Dear Friends,
Some of you know about the Poor People’s Campaign March & Gathering and
others don’t; however, the important thing to know is that you are all invited
to come to Santa Fe and participate on Monday, May 14. The more who can come
the better.
FYI, there will be people gathering all over the country this coming Monday
in support of this campaign.
The Raging Grannies and everyone receiving this email and others you would
like to include have been invited to come to Santa Fe next Monday to
participate in this important rally. The event begins at 2 PM and you can
choose to walk with many others to the Round House singing, Children Walk In
The Power” or you can choose to sing with the Raging Grannies who will be
"singing people home" on the main stage at the Round House.
Other songs will probably also be sung, and I am hoping to get lyrics for
them all hopefully tomorrow morning.
While the event begins at 2 PM, there may be other things happening earlier.
I will keep you posted on these events.
There will be a rehearsal tomorrow (Tuesday, May 8) after RTT which ends at 1
PM. Everyone who wants to participate in the rally is welcome to come. We
will meet at Sally-Alice Thompson’s home at 1519 Anderson Place (268-5073) at
1:30 to learn and practice these songs. We are hoping to see many Raging
Grannies from the ABQ area as well as many friends from RTT, at the rehearsal.
Transportation plans will also be made by and for those who will be coming from
ABQ tomorrow.
Another rehearsal for the RGs and friends in the Jemez will be held on
Friday, May 11 at my home (see below) at 2 PM. Transportation plans will also
be made by and for those who will be coming from the Jemez on Friday. Please
RSVP for Friday and Monday, May 14.
Hoping to see many of you tomorrow, this coming Friday, and especially on
Monday.
