Thank you, Karen, for these great ideas.

Easter Sunday
Medicine Drum Circle has two peaceful actions for children and families
separated and imprisoned at the border.
WWJD?
Sunday, April 21st
First action
MDC will lead a silent vigil at Calvary Church Easter Sunrise Service outside of
UNM Stadium.
When: 7:00-8:00 AM
Where: SE corner of University Blvd & Avenida Cesar Chavez
What: We will be holding with Jesus quotes like “Suffer the little children to
come unto me” and passing out flyers.
Second action
When: 1:00 PM
Where: Old Town gazebo
What: Collaboration with dramatic artist Tlacaelel Fuentes. We’re planning a
visual, dramatic experience in Old Town, which will include puppet children
behind wire and fencing to symbolize the child and family prisons with adults
as guards, wear black.
Note: Old Town gazebo park is a public park and we are able to occupy the
space legally. This is a similar action to our Christmas eve action in Old
Town which Channel 7 was able to get picked up nationally. We want this
message sent out far and wide!
Family separations and children in cages is a crime against humanity!
Peace,
Lisa Lucero
