The states' lawsuit (pdf) targeting the president's "fake emergency
declaration," filed Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District
of California, is also backed by the attorneys general of Colorado,
Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota,
Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, and Virginia. It follows
similar filings from the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and other
organizations.
