Good Evening Board,
I wanted to run something by you all and ask for your opinion.
Marta contacted me and said that the same weekend we have the Leadership
weekend planned for there is also a MOPS group (Moms with Preschoolers) who
is getting a great response to their weekend (which is awesome!) and due to
the number registered we will most likely be placed in the cabins.
Usually to me the cabins would not be that big of a deal, however I am
feeling conflicted with this and am wondering your thoughts on possibly
changing the dates of our weekend...
Our camp began and its focus ministry are the summer camps that we provide
as well as the weekend retreats. The leaders that are planning to attend
our weekend put in numerous hours planning and prepping along with taking
time off of work to direct their particular camp. I feel that this is a
weekend that we need to go above and beyond and thank them for all that
they do to continue the ministry that the camp began on...
Along with this, some of the leaders have asked if their families would be
able to attend and we have said yes.
I just feel as though putting everyone in cabins would "cramp" the style of
the weekend that we are trying to provide these amazing and willing
leaders.
I would love to hear your input and ideas on how we can make this work for
all around...
John, can you let us know a few weekend dates that are available for cabins
so we can take them into consideration??
