Just a short update on conference preparations.
*KEYNOTES*
All our key notes are finalised and we have a range of exciting national
and international speakers on a range of topics.

*SPECIAL INTEREST GROUPS*
We have special interest groups running across two days with topics on
domestic and family violence, Out-of-Home Care Leavers, Accessibility,
Gender Equity and evaluation.

*PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOPS*
Some key areas for exploration across both the student and staff equity
spaces will also be provided through some special workshops and forums
<https://ephea2017.org/workshops/#1499386202513-121f0b02-bec2>. These are
part of your full registration (yes some things in life are free!).
Workshops include:
- The NCSEHE will showcase the outcomes of the 2017 Equity Fellows on
Monday 20 November. The 2017 Equity Fellows are Associate Professor James
Smith, Louise Pollard and Matt Brett have been investigating key equity
issues over the course of 2017 which will provide a framework for good
practice for practitioners.
- 2016 Equity Fellow and current NCSEHE Senior Research Fellow Dr Nadine
Zacharias will also be presenting a special workshop on equity research
and practice.
- The SAGE (Science in Australia Gender Equity) pilot faciliated by SAGE
Executive Director Dr Wafa El-Adhami is also on offer
- EO Online Users Reference Group
There are more workshops to be announced.
*SUBMISSIONS*
Don't forget submissions <https://ephea2017.org/submissions/>for
presentations. We have extended the date to *Friday 11 August, 2017* but
after that you will be too late so get writing!!
*REGISTRATION DATES*
Early Birds - get your registration in by *30 September.*
Slowpokes (standard registration) - you have until *12 November*.
*ACCOMMODATION*
The conference is mostly situated at QUT's Gardens Point campus and so we
have secured accommodation deals within a stone's throw of QUT.
Bookings can be made during the registration process up until 18
October 2017 or until sold out. Or you can find your own online. But a
warning - a little birdie told me there's some big cricket game on that
week so don't leave it too late!
