Hi John,

the adaption I have, may not be from Baier - mine fits fairly and looks a
little bit self-made - but this is not the important part anyway. First,
the batteries - instead of batteries you can take 3 coin batteries type
LR44. That works fine. After using my Kiev for a while, it showed strange
values - I checked with my old *Sekonic Multi-Lumi L-248 *(analog) and
found out, that the spot metering wasn't working anymore. After
disassembling the viewer, there were no signs of broken wires or lose
soldering points. Then, after putting it back together again, at least the
normal meter worked, stopped working, worked again and so on.
I'll have to send it to Baier to let it be checked. If it is in a
condition, worth to be repaired, we'll talk about the costs. If it's a
reasonable price, I'll let it be repaired and sell it.

If I go out to take photos, I don't want to take care of the technical
stuff. So I want to have reliable equipment. That's why I'm looking for a
PME 90 to adapt to my Rolleis. The best solution would be the swivel-device
of the original Rollei Prism of the SL66 and the 6008 with a swapping-frame
for the the PME 90 - the optical correction is the next thing to achieve.

If you want to have a ready-to-go prism, the Baier Kiev is an alternative.
Maybe I just wasn't so lucky with eBuy;)

Kind regards

Uwe
